BROOKVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Crews responded to a sewage spill in Md. today.
The sewage line broke Tuesday evening and about 200,000 gallons of sewage had spilled by 11:00 a.m. today. The spill was in the woods close to 203 Market Street in Brookville, officials said.
A contractor had been hired to clear trees so that crews could get to the spill. There is no danger to the drinking water in the area, officials said. The broken sewer main has since been fixed.
