  • OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9)--  Two of the three suspects in the murder of Jesse Chavez at the Clarion Hotel in Oxon Hill are being held without bond.

Deandre Weems, 20, has been identified as the shooting suspect, according to police.  Police say that 23-year-old Kimfrey Williams was the getaway driver and 18-year-old Rinaldo Savon Washington was the lookout. Williams and Washington had bond reviews Monday and were ordered held on no bond status.

All three men are facing first and second degree murder charges, according to police. Police say they also believe they are involved in additional robberies in Prince George's County and D.C.

Police tell us that the weapon and the getaway car from the hotel murder have been recovered.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery shortly after 10:00 last Monday night in the 6400 block of Oxon Hill Road. Once officers arrived on scene, they found Chavez outside the hotel suffering from a gun shot wound to the upper torso.  Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicated a suspect armed with a handgun entered the lobby armed and made demands. An employee gave the suspect the money. Police say there was a confrontation between the armed suspect and Chavez, which ended outside where Chavez was shot. The shooter then fled the scene in a dark colored sedan.
