Police: Dog bites off child's nose at home in Md.

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating an incident which involved a dog biting off a child's nose at a home in Md. 

The incident happened on Saturday around 6:34 p.m., at the 200 block Glen Road. Police found a three-year-old boy who's nose had been bitten off. Initial investigation shows that the child may have put his face under the fence where the dog was. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

The owners of the dog are cooperating with authorities and Animal Control will further investigate this incident.
