Man wanted for stealing copper from BGE sub station

GAMBRILLS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police have released a photo of a man they say stole copper from the BGE sub station at 1155 Waugh Chapel Road in Gambrills.

The theft happened on Oct. 16, according to police. They say a man cut a hole in the fence to the facility and then stole copper once inside the facility.

According to police, "there have been numerous incidents of individuals stealing copper in the past from this facility."

Anyone with information about the person pictured is asked to call Detective Dutton of the Western District at 410-222-6155 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
