PASADENA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland delegate was arrested again after an officer noticed alcohol on his breath during a traffic stop early Monday morning. He had previously plead guilty to driving drunk on a boat that crashed and injured several people back in 2012.

Donald Harrison Dwyer Jr. has been charged with driving while intoxicated and numerous traffic violations, officials said.

Police say that Dwyer committed numerous traffic violations in the are of Rt. 100 East and Edwin Raynor Blvd., posing an immediate safety risk for other drivers on the road.

During the stop, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Dwyer told police that he had two beers earlier in the evening, officials said.

The officer who pulled over Dwyer said that he noticed that his eyes were red and glossy, his face was flushed, and his speech was also slow and slurred.

During a sobriety test, Dwyer was very unstable and had trouble keeping balance, officials said.

After running his tags, officials noticed that his registration was expired.
