WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- It's a cookie many people have enjoyed: Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies.
Wallace "Wally" Amos was the first Black talent agent for the William Morris Agency. He used to send potential clients chocolate chip cookies. He represented superstars such as Diana Ross and Simon and Garfunkel, before being talked into selling his cookies.
Marvin Gaye gave him part of the start up money.
Amos sold his company due to financial problems but now runs Uncle Wally's Muffin Company.
