Girl Stabbed At Northwood High School In Silver Spring, Md.

SILVER SPRING, Md (WUSA) - A girl who was stabbed on Tuesday night at Northwood High School is a student at Montgomery Blair High School. The 17-year-old suffered stab wounds to the lower torso, say Montgomery County Police.

According to Montgomery County Police, the girl was stabbed multiple times shortly after 9 p.m. and was transported to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say she was attending a basketball game at Northwood High School. She saw her friend in an altercation with another girl and tried to stop the fight. She was then stabbed by another girl, police believe is from nearby Kennedy High School.

Police are looking for the two suspects involved in the stabbing. The first suspect is described as a black female who is 5'6" tall with chin length hair. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic female between 5'5" and 5'6" who is heavy set and has bushy hair. They are believed to be students at Kennedy High School.
