Scottsdale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Wes Short Jr. birdied the final two holes
Wednesday to remain atop the leaderboard after two rounds of the Champions
Short, who won in Las Vegas in 2005 on the PGA Tour, finished 36 holes at 12-
under-par 130 after a second-round 66. He had been one of four co-leaders
after the first round.
Bill Glasson and Doug Garwood, who shared the first-round lead, both carded 4-
under 67s to dip one shot back at minus-11. Jim Rutledge also shot 67 to end
alone in fourth at 10-under-par 132 at TPC Scottsdale's Champions Course.
Scott Dunlap fired a 7-under 64, the low round of the day, to soar into a tie
for fifth place at minus-9. He stands alongside P.H. Horgan III (66) and Ben
Bates (68). Mike Reid is one stroke back after a second-round 66.
Jeff Freeman, the other first-round co-leader, struggled to a 2-over 73 and
dipped into a share of 26th place at 5-under-par 137.
