DALE CITY, Va. (WUSA9) -- A driver has been charged after the tractor-trailer he was driving overturned onto a Jersey wall on Interstate 95 in Prince William County on Wednesday morning.

According to Virginia State Police, the accident happened at 10:23 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 156 mile marker.  Police say the tractor-trailer rear-ended a highway crash-cushion truck, which was protecting a street sweeper cleaning along the right shoulder of I-95. The impact of the crash caused the tractor-trailer to overturn across the Jersey wall.

Police say the trailer, which is loaded with caulking and other industrial adhesives, ruptured during the crash.

The driver, 48-year-old Dean A. Brames of Palm Bay, Fla., was transported to Potomac Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, say police. They say he was later released.

Brames has been charged with reckless driving.

State police say by 3:50 p.m., the tractor-trailer crash was cleared and all I-95 southbound lanes were reopened.
