WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Acting, Song and Dance and Math? You bet!! They all come together at Winston Education Center in South East DC to help kindergarteners learn Math. So we decided this was a great place for this weeks Cool Schools report.

Teacher Tamara Berry joins forces with performance Artist Kofi Dennis from the Wolf Trap Theater in Virginia to create a lesson on sets. The 5 year olds learn the beginnings of math through song and dance. How cool is that!

The need for children to be proficient in math is so great, technology company Northrop Grumman sponsors the Wolf trap institute early learning for the arts program.

Company spokesperson Lynn Gilmore said, "We have to start at the very early ages and grow them into the pipeline because we want them to come an work for us someday"

So they may have jobs waiting for them in the future too!!! How cool is that?!!!
