Police search for robbery suspect who injured Subway worker

SUNDERLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- An employee kicked in the face and body during a robbery at the Subway in Sunderland last week. Calvert County Sheriff's Office deputies are still looking for the robber.

Authorities say at 9:09 a.m. on Dec. 12, deputies arrived at the Sunderland Subway at 40 Dalrymple Road and found that the suspect was gone but one employee was injured.

According to authorities, a man entered the business wearing a mask, black cap, black jacket, black trousers and dark colored athletic shoes. He announced a robbery and showed a gun. Then, he took cash from the register.

The man struggled with an employee and ended up pushing the employee to the ground before kicking him repeatedly. The victim was later transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
