TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- This weekend, Takoma Park Police say a man who asked a business for change for a large bill returned with a second person to rob the business.
According to police, at approximately 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Takoma Park Police responded to the Tax Max in the 1000 block of University Blvd. for an armed robbery. Their investigation revealed that a man entered the business and pretended to be a customer. He inquired about sending money. Then, he left the Tax Max, but returned a short time later. He asked for change in exchange for a large bill before leaving again. Police say the man then return again with a second man. They displayed black pistols and demanded money, say police. Once the two men learned a panic alarm had been pressed they ran towards Anne Street, according to police. Efforts to find them with a K9 unit were unsuccessful.
The first man is described as a Black male, 6'2" and in his 30's. He was last seen wearing a dark gray jacket, blue jeans and a black scarf.
The second man is described as a Black male, 5'11", and in his 40's. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, skull jaw half mask and gray gloves.
