Johnathan Brewster of Severn charged with rogue & vagabond and theft under $1,000 in Anne Arundel County
SEVERNA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police say a man was arrested for theft and other charges after they were notified of a suspicious car driving through a Severna Park neighborhood.
A caller reported on Tuesday at 6:04 a.m. that his vehicle was ransacked overnight in the unit block of Saint Ives Drive in Severna Park. The caller also described a suspicious blue/green Honda Accord with Virginia plates driving through the neighborhood, say police.
Police say officers found the suspicious vehicle on Saint Ives Drive and conducted a traffic stop. They identified the driver as 31-year-old Johnathan Lee Brewster of Severn by his Maryland driver's license.
According to police, officers also saw a Garmin GPS in plain view on the front passenger seat programmed to an address on Devonshire Court. At that locations, they found a vehicle ransacked. After an investigations, police say they discovered several victims of theft from auto in the community of Chartwell.
Brewster was charged with numerous counts of rogue & vagabond and theft under $1,000. Other charges are possible.
