ODENTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police say a teenager was charged with burglary and other offenses after breaking into a school on Thursday.
Officers responded to the Seven Oaks Elementary School on Town Center Boulevard in Odenton for a report of an alarm in progress, say police. They found a window was shattered.
Police say they were securing the scene when someone ran from the school. He was later caught, say police.
Police tell us the 15-year-old boy had stolen candy and a laser pointer from the school. He was charged on a juvenile citation with Second Degree Burglary, Destruction of Property, and Theft under $100.
He was released to the custody of a parent, according to police.
