Suspect hits 65-year-old victim during robbery in Md.

HANOVER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials are looking for a suspect in connection to a home invasion robbery in Maryland.

The robbery happened around 7:43 a.m. at a home located on the 100 block of Chesapeake Mobile Court. The suspect is described as a 'White male in his 30's, approximately 5'8"-5'10", 220-250 pounds with a white handkerchief on his face.'

A 65-year-old victim called Police after the suspect went inside her home while she was sleeping on the couch. He then demanded money and her car keys. The suspect also hit the victim with a blunt object and then ran away in the victims car and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The victim's vehicle is a 2002 Hyundai Accent with Maryland plates DPB946.
