GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested two juveniles for an attempted armed robbery at a Walmart.
Police say a 14-year-old and 11-year-old male from were charged on juvenile citations with Armed Robbery, Assault, and Deadly Weapon.
On December 1 at approximately 1:44 p.m., officers responded to the Walmart located in the 6700 block of Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie.
A 34-year-old female victim told police that two young males tried to rob her in the parking lot. One of them had a knife and told her to drop her merchandise, officials said.
Police say the victim ignored the suspects and continued walking. The suspects fled into the woods near the Glen Burnie Mall, officials said.
At about 4:09 p.m., the victim called police and said that she saw the suspects in the area of Ritchie Highway and Ordnance Road walking towards the mall.
Officers found the suspects inside a store in the mall and arrested them. Police say they found a knife matching the knife described by the victim.
Both suspects were positively identified and arrested, officials said.
