LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Police will be back in Landover Saturday morning. Authorities will be flanked by the U.S. Postal Service, canvassing the route of a mailman who was murdered Saturday November 23.
Tyson Barnette, 26, was gunned down around 7:30 p.m. while delivering mail on Reed Street.
One week later, no arrests have been made.
Police will pass out Crime Solvers flyers, ask neighbors what they recall from that day and remind them that there is a combined reward of up to $125,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
At least one of those neighbors told WUSA9 that she has been "extremely concerned" since Barnette's seemingly random murder. Since the incident, she said, "I check in with my husband more often to make sure everything is OK."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text "PGPD plus your message" to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone.
