MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WUSA9) -- Pepco reported that over 12,751 customers have been affected.
Pepco serves up to 311,924 customers in Montgomery County. In DC, 2,231 customers have been affected.

After a storm, officials recommends taking the following precautions:
• Treat all traffic signals that are dark as if they are four-way stops.
• Call 911 only in emergencies that threaten life or property, which includes any type of fire or serious medical condition, when there is fear for personal safety or the safety of others, or during a crime in progress.
• Do not touch fallen or low-hanging wires of any kind under any circumstances. Stay away from puddles with wires in or near them. Do not touch trees or other objects in contact with power lines.
