Aron James Krampf, 26, of Elkridge, charged in shaken baby case in Howard County.

ELKRIDGE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Howard County police have charged an Elkridge man with shaking his 6-week old baby girl to death.

Aron Jame Krampf, 26, has been charged with first and second degree assault, child abuse and reckless endangerment.

Officials say they are anticipating a murder charge because the baby died Thursday morning.

Police were called to Krampf's residence around 12:45 p.m. on September 10 for the report of an unconscious infant who was not breathing, officials said.

Krampf's daughter was transported to John Hopkins Children's Hospital where she died Thursday.

Police say they believe Krampf shook the baby to stop her from crying. She suffered brain hemorrhaging and fractures throughout her body.
