BALTIMORE (WUSA9) -- Amtrak service has been restored to one track between DC and Philadelphia.
Amtrak officials say crews are making repairs to overhead wires that were extensively damaged, causing its electrical system to halt Amtrak Acela Express, Northeast Regional.
Wilmington, Del. and Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia were also impacted by the damage.
Traffic is now flowing through the area but delays are to be expected as crews work to restore the second track.
The cause of the damage remains under investigation, say officials.
