WUSA-TV, the Gannett-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, DC (NSI Rank 8) seeks a Studio Technician - Newscast Director/TD to direct live newscasts, taped webcasts, cut-ins, local programs and commercial projects as required.  The Studio Technician determines camera angles, lighting and set arrangement.  Also performs other duties as assigned; Robotics, Master Control, Audio, Ingest.  Effective interaction with a control room team from multiple departments is critical to success.  Strong leadership and organizational skills are a must.

Requirements: Must have a strong working knowledge of studio and location equipment including, but not limited to studio lighting equipment, teleprompter, robotic studio cameras, switcher and remote cameras.  Knowledge of Deko and DekoMos a plus.  Experience with ENPS and Avid server system also a plus.  Required skill knowledge includes: 5 years experience in various aspects of television production preferred.  Minimum of 3 years explerience directing.  Excellent communication skills required, with an emphasis on working as a team with producers.  Knowledge of Metropolitan Washington is helpful.  We put a premium on personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving, a strong work etic and winning.  Must be willing to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
