WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- An adult male is dead after falling from the third floor of a museum in DC today, an official tells WUSA9.
The person fell from the third level of the 'National Museum of the American Indian' into the atrium. The person was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, officials said.
A veteran journalist, Hank Silverberg tweeted, "Not sure if he fell jumped or was pushed. But I saw man falling from third floor to atrium."
Smithsonian officials said the museum was evacuated after the incident for the rest of the day.
This is currently a death investigation and officials are trying to determine whether the man jumped or was pushed.
