Police seek information after man injured in hit and run crash

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are asking any witnesses to a hit and run crash that injured a man in Frederick Monday night to come forward with information.

Police say the crash happened before 11:38 p.m., when officers responded to the 500 block of East Patrick Street. They found a man, who had sustained non-life threatening injuries, behind the wheel of the vehicle. Police say he was transported to Meritus Medical Center for treatment.

Officers located another vehicle that is believed to be involved in the crash, according to police. The vehicle was a silver, 4-door Dodge and was found abandoned in the area of Franklin Street near East Patrick Street.
