SunTrust bank in Md. robbed; police seeking suspect

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County police have released surveillance photos of a bank robbery and need your help identifying the suspect.

It happened November 11 at the SunTrust bank located inside of the Safeway store at 12251 Darnestown Road. 

Police say that a suspect entered the bank, approached the counter and handed a note to the teller claiming that he had a gun.

The suspect took the money and fled on foot, officials said.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a black and gray jacket, a black and white ski hat, and gloves.
