Woman struck by Metro train at Cleveland Park

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Crews are working to remove a woman who was struck by a train at the Cleveland Park Metro station on Tuesday afternoon.

A Metro spokesperson says that at approximately 1:20 p.m. the woman intentionally placed herself on the tracks in front of an incoming Red Line train.

We are told the woman is conscious and breathing.

Metro officials say there are delays in both directions on the Red Line.
