WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County Police are looking for new leads regarding the murder of Linda Mae Archer.

Police say family members from Woodbridge, who did not live with 58-year-old Linda Mae Archer, told officers in January 2005 that Archer had been missing since October 2004. She was last seen at the Elm Farm trailer park in the county. Detectives didn't find any evidence of foul play or any reason to classify Archer's disappearance suspicious.

Then, on June 2, 2010 police say officers responded to Minnieville Rd and Prince William Parkway for the report of bones found in the area. Skeletal remains were found and then sent to the Virginia State Lab for a DNA comparison against DNA profiles of possible relatives. In March 2011, the DNA analysis resulted in a match for Linda Archer from a relative, according to police.

Nearly 9 years have passed and Archer's murder remains unsolved, say police.  Monday, police released a photo of Archer again and described her as "a white female, 5'06", 85 lbs, [with] black hair and blue eyes" in hopes someone might know something about the crime.

If you have any information, please email police at policedept@pwcgov.org or call Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS.

Police say anyone with information relating to this case could earn up to a $1,000 reward.
