Leslie Johnson(The Department of Justice/ Talking Points Memo)

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Only on 9: Video of former Prince George's Councilwoman Leslie Johnson, who is just out of prison and starting her community service.

Johnson admitted hiding nearly $80,000 in her bra and panties and flushing a $100,000 check down the toilet while federal agents banged on her door.

We wanted to know if Leslie Johnson had changed her perspective after ten months in prison. But she clearly didn't want to talk to us. I asked her if she wanted to apologize to the public, and she just shook her head.

A federal judge sentenced Johnson to a year and a day in prison on after shed pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence. The tampering was the flushing and the stuffing, while her husband, former Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson, frantically called her and demanded she get rid of the proceeds of his bribery scheme.

The judge also ordered her to perform 240 hours of community service. And she was at the Capital Area Food Bank interviewing to complete that service there.

Just over a year ago, she insisted to the judge that she didn't know anything about her husband the county executive jacking up developers for cash. That she stuffed the money in her panties only to protect her husband. The judge didn't believe her. We wanted to see if she'd changed her perspective at all. But apparently, we will have to keep waiting.
