POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County Police say they have arrested a Poolesville man during their investigation of a shooting in Potomac on April 8.
Police report that they arrested 19-year-old DeAngelo Jackson on Saturday and charged him with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, and several firearms-related charges

Jackson is accused of shooting a 21-year-old male on April 8 in the 8500 block of Victory Lane. The victim reportedly opened the door after hearing the doorbell ring and Jackson confronted him with a handgun. When the victim tried to close the door, Jackson is accused of pushing the door to get inside the residence. Once inside, Jackson reportedly shot the victim and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Jackson is being held without bond. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 1.
