CAMP SPRINGS, Md. (WUSA)-- Mike Musiowski, an Air Force Airman stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, was chasing Wednesday's storms when he was able to get what he calls the "money shot."
The 21-year-old said he was inside the base when the alert system started sounding. He picked up his camera and headed towards the storm.
Musiowski said, "I know it's not the best idea, but how often do you get a twister in DC? I just wanted to be a part of it and get it captured."
In his video, you can see the powerful twister knocking over trees and blowing debris all over the area near Auth St. and Allentown Rd.
Musiowski summed up his experience by saying, "This was the first tornado I've ever seen, and I hope it is not the last, because I had a good time."
