2 Million Dehumidifiers Recalled Over Fire Concerns

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9) -- There's a significant call to action for owners of certain dehumidifiers. They are linked to some 46 fires and more than $2 million in property damage.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Gree Electrical Appliances are recalling more than 2 million dehumidifiers because they can overheat, smoke and lead to fires.

The devices carry names like Danby, Premiere, De'Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and Super Clima. In all, 12 models are impacted.
